On December 12th, the new building of Delta Wuhan R&D Center, which focuses on research and innovation in data centers, 5G communication equipment, electric vehicle charging and vehicle networking, new energy and smart microgrids, industrial IoT and intelligent manufacturing, and strengthens cooperation with local customers and universities in Wuhan, was opened. In the next 5 years, the team size of Delta Wuhan R&D Center will be committed to promoting the further development of Delta's R&D capabilities in central China.

"Wuhan, as a core city in the central part of the mainland, has built a Chinese Optics Valley industrial settlement around the national high-tech strategic development goals, forming a good science and technology innovation environment." According to Ke Zixing, Vice Chairman of Delta, Delta spends 8% of its global revenue on innovative research and development every year and has more than 70 research and development centers located worldwide. Delta has more than 30 research and development centers and laboratories. With a deep understanding of Wuhan's advantages and a focus on Wuhan, Delta continuously expands its research and development territory. With power electronics technology as its core, it is committed to developing more efficient and low-carbon products, achieving the "dual carbon" goals, and helping Wuhan accelerate the implementation of its innovation driven development strategy. Delta looks forward to working together with Wuhan to create a win-win situation, serving the whole country and connecting the world.

"The Wuhan R&D Center will continue to focus on research and innovation in areas such as data centers, 5G communication equipment, electric vehicle charging and networking, new energy and smart microgrids, industrial Internet of Things, and intelligent manufacturing. Dr. Zhang Jinfa, Director of Delta Shanghai and Hangzhou Design Center and Head of Wuhan R&D Center, introduced that Delta attaches great importance to talent cultivation and established the" Delta Power Electronics Science and Education Development Plan "in 2000, inviting Tsinghua University." Twelve key universities, including Zhejiang University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, participated in promoting the innovative development and talent cultivation of disciplines related to power electronics and electrical transmission in universities. In the future, Delta looks forward to working with universities and upstream and downstream industry partners to build an inland highland for research and development and manufacturing, and jointly create a new coastal area for inland opening.

It is understood that Delta was founded in 1971 and provides power management and cooling solutions to the world. It holds an important position in multiple product solutions such as industrial automation, building automation, communication power, data center infrastructure, electric vehicle charging, renewable energy, energy storage, and video display. Its operating branches are spread around the world, with nearly 200 sales, research and development centers, and production bases on five continents, Delta settled in Wuhan as early as 1998, focusing on marketing and service. In 2006, it established a research and development center in Wuhan.
