A shopping fair opened in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 7, displaying a variety of commodities produced by more than 700 businesses from home and abroad, reports Baotou Daily.

Co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee and the people’s government of Baotou, the fair is now in its second session.

The 15-day fair, held at Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center, featured special purchases for the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Jan 28 this year, including local specialties, seafood, and tropical fruit. A total of 750 stalls were set up at the 16,500-square-meter venue.
