The 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit will be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6. Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian introduced the arrangements for the summit at a regular press conference on July 30.
Lin Jian said that this year's forum meeting is the fourth time that the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is held in the form of a summit. China and Africa will share friendship, discuss cooperation and talk about the future around the theme of "working together to promote modernization and building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future."
Lin Jian introduced that the forum senior officials' meeting and ministerial meeting will be held on September 2 and 3 respectively to make relevant preparations for the summit. From September 4 to 6, a series of activities will be held, including the opening ceremony of the summit, a welcome banquet and cultural performances, parallel high-level meetings, the China-Africa Entrepreneurs Conference, and bilateral meetings.
"This is the second time that the China-Africa friendship family has gathered in Beijing after the 2018 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit." Lin Jian said that China and Africa are maintaining close communication and consultation on relevant preparatory work including the summit activities, continuing to carry forward the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation, and making the Forum Summit another grand event to strengthen China-Africa friendship and solidarity.
Lin Jian said: "I believe that with the joint efforts of China and Africa, the 2024 China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit will surely be a complete success, open up a new realm for the development of China-Africa relations, and write a new chapter in the construction of a China-Africa community with a shared future."
