On March 24, the Special Joint Committee meeting on CAFTA 3.0 was held virtually, attended by officials from the competent authorities of China, ten ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat. The two sides actively promoted the resolution of the remaining matters of the FTA 3.0 upgrade protocol and agreed to complete the legal review of the text as soon as possible to prepare for the signing of the protocol.

The CAFTA 3.0 upgrade will expand the win-win cooperation between the two sides in emerging areas in an all-round way, creating an FTA that is inclusive, modern, comprehensive and mutually beneficial.
